Far, far away
Yesterday, I dropped Josh off at the airport. He left with his laptop bag filled with books, movies and a computer. In the other hand, he had a small dufflebag. He’s only gone for three days. I’ll see him again Wednesday.
This wouldn’t be so strange if I hadn’t dropped him off at the International Departures gate. That wouldn’t be so strange if he wasn’t leaving for Seattle, Portland or even San Francisco.
No, I dropped him off at the door that leads to Lufthansa and he’s gone to Berlin for a very exciting job interview. He’ll be there for about 36 hours before hopping on the return flight. All in all, he’ll have done about 22 hours of flying, plus time at airports.
I just hope he brings back some chocolates to get me through the last three weeks of wedding planning (which I will eat very sparingly in order to remain the size my dress is).
